On Friday, January 29, please:
1. bring to class a copy of a review from a magazine or newspaper that you'd like to target in your review.
2. make a list of common expectations of the genre you're reviewing that you share with your audience (see page 83 in Writing Today for an example).
You will include both of these items in your first portfolio, but bring them to class and be prepared to say a little about them. Remember that it's okay if you change your topic for your review before you turn in your portfolio, but this assigment is a place to start.
