Because Julia Wertz's rescheduled colloquium will now take place on Wednesday, February 24 at noon, I am canceling both sections of WRTC 295 so our 12:20 class can attend. Students in both sections are expected to attend either the colloquium or the exhibit of Wertz's work on Tuesday, February 23 from 11 to 1. Both events will take place at the IVS on the second floor of Roop. If you have a choice, I suggest that you attend the colloquium so that you can hear the artist talk about her work.
No additional writing assignment is required in connection with the events, unless you have another class that will prevent you from attending either event. If this is the case, please e-mail me for an alternative assignment. A very short quiz will be given in class next Friday to ensure that you've attended.
Because class will not be meeting on Wednesday, Portfolio 1 is now due on Friday, February 26.
